Spencer Kent

Spencer Kent is the founder of Calm Seas Yachting, a yacht brokerage built around genuine relationships, strong communication, and making the buying and selling process as smooth as possible.

Spencer grew up on the Chesapeake Bay, where boating was a big part of everyday life. From a young age, he spent his time on the water learning how boats handle, how they’re built, and what makes a great day out there. That early experience turned into a lifelong passion—and eventually, a career.

Along the way, Spencer also had the opportunity to help with a Special Olympics sailing team, working with athletes to get out on the water and experience sailing in a safe and supportive environment. It was a meaningful experience that stuck with him and helped shape how he works with people today—patient, hands-on, and always focused on making sure everyone feels comfortable and confident.

After getting into the marine industry, Spencer saw that the process of buying or selling a boat could often feel more complicated and impersonal than it should be. Spencer started Calm Seas Yachting in 2021 to do things differently—keeping clients informed, being easy to reach, and staying involved every step of the way.

Today, Spencer works with buyers and sellers throughout South Florida, the Chesapeake Bay, and across the East Coast. Whether it’s a first boat or a larger upgrade, Spencer focuses on making the experience straightforward, transparent, and actually enjoyable.

At the end of the day, it’s simple—he loves boating, and he enjoys helping other people get out on the water and make the most of it.
